Jo is a Trainer and Assessor for IAP’s Diploma of Counselling. Jo brings more than 30 years of experience in health, education, and wellbeing to her role at the Institute of Applied Psychology. A Registered Nurse since 1988, she has worked in paediatrics, surgical care, mental health, and nurse education, and has also held training and mentoring roles within both the healthcare and aviation sectors. For the past 14 years, Jo has been a trainer/assessor and wellbeing coordinator, supporting students in both their professional and personal development. Alongside her teaching, she serves as a clinical supervisor at the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter, volunteers with Lifeline as a crisis supporter, and mentors women through the Women’s Resilience Centre. Jo is deeply committed to empowering students to build confidence, resilience, and trust in their own abilities.
