Q1. How many weeks do I have to complete all of my assessments?
You have 24 months from the commencement date of the course to submit all tasks.
Q2. How long will it take before assessment is marked?
Assessments will be marked within four weeks to six weeks of submission.
Q3. Where can I see assessor comments?
You will receive an email saying that your assessment has been marked on Vasto. There will be a comment box at the bottom of your marked assessment. The assessor may also type comments throughout assessment if required.
Q4. Why has my assessment not been marked and returned to me?
A. It will be returned to you if…
- There is not a verified USI number
- Some of the answers are missing
- If the word count is way over or way under the amount suggested
- If there are no references made
- If a hard copy has been sent in
Q5. How close do I need to be to the word count?
The word count indicates the amount of detail we are looking for to be deemed Satisfactory. Whilst it is not marked strictly as a + or – 5% marginal rate you might find in university courses, it is important to keep the word count front of mind when answering the question. Excessive variance on word count could precipitate a Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS) result.
Q6. Where can I locate answers to questions in assessment?
A. There are various places that you can get your answers from.
- Course handouts
- Class Notes
- Internet (Please include the link)
- Online videos/audios
There may be times that you can use your own experiences. The assessment will state if this is appropriate.
Q7. How do I reference my answers?
A.
Please provide reference links to where you gathered the information such as Course handouts or Class Notes.
If information has been found online, please give the link. Here is an example: https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/healthinformation-and-health-products-online
If from a book please provide name me of Author, Year Published and page number. For example: (Yapko, 2012, p.320)
You can include the references at the end of an answer or you can list them all at the end of the whole assessment.
Q8. What is Plagiarism?
Please do not copy and paste from the Internet as we have software to detect plagiarism. For obvious reasons, we are interested in answers that are in your own words. It will be sent back to you. You must write answers in your own words.
